Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Cherubs Cove Montessori Childcare Centre Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Assist in creating a safe and healthy environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
  • Child Care and Support
    • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
    • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties.
    • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient childcare experience.
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
    • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • Or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of a childcare setting.
