What will be your daily responsibilities?
As a Visitor Experience Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our visitors have clear expectations regarding the attraction experience while leaving a lasting positive impression. You will be responsible for facilitating a smooth ticketing and entry process, as well as managing the flow of guests throughout the attraction in a safe and efficient manner. Comfort in addressing and guiding large groups of individuals, both indoors and outdoors, is essential. As a representative of a prominent attraction, you will contribute to fostering an enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and team members. A positive, guest-first attitude that reflects the values of both the attraction and the surrounding area is vital.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Guest Experience Supervisors and the Guest Experience Manager, your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming guests and responding to inquiries in a friendly and positive manner
- Providing accurate information to guests to set proper expectations
- Capturing and editing photos of guests while being knowledgeable about available photo packages and backgrounds
- Managing cash transactions, ticket sales, and other retail responsibilities as needed
- Organizing large groups into appropriate queues and communicating accurate wait times
- Guiding guests through various areas of the attraction and assisting them onto the ride gondolas
- Ensuring compliance with all ride safety protocols and reporting any concerns to the Operator and Supervisors
- Communicating effectively using proper radio etiquette
- Assisting with emergency evacuation procedures and adhering to the emergency preparedness plan
- Demonstrating knowledge about the local area and other attractions
- Being adaptable to fulfill various roles as required
Required Skills and Experience
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfort with standing for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds as necessary
- In-depth knowledge of the local area and attractions
- Previous experience in the tourism or hospitality sector
- Preferred experience in cash handling and public speaking
- Proficiency in a second language is advantageous
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification or equivalent is preferred
- Serving it Right certification or equivalent is a plus
