We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Science Engineer to join our team of technical professionals at JRS Engineering. In this role, you will conduct thorough investigations, produce comprehensive reports, and undertake design work to ensure the highest quality of service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews.
  • Assist with developing building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents, and applying knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes.
  • Conduct third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects.
  • Assist with field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during all stages of consulting and new construction projects.
  • Conduct window tests, air leakage tests, and other field testing as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC.
  • 1 to 4 years of work experience in building science or construction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate vague or complex requests into concrete actions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and varied workload.

Annual salary range - $55,000 to $75,000.
