Role SummaryWe are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time, permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and providing consultation for children and adolescents referred for occupational therapy services. Your work will encompass school-based, in-centre, and fee-for-service modalities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments, implement treatment plans, and provide education and training to caregivers and other professionals.
- Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with families.
- Stay informed about the latest best practices in treatment and integrate this knowledge into your work.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statistical, clinical, and administrative reporting requirements.
- Supervise interns and rehabilitation assistant students as part of your responsibilities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive information related to clients and their families.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Experience in pediatric rehabilitation, both in-centre and school-based, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Understanding of a Family-Centered Care approach is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Training in Solution Focused Coaching is a plus.
- Willingness to pursue necessary certifications for departmental work.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to various locations.
- Clear vulnerable sector check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination are required.
