AGAT Laboratories is a leading provider of environmental and analytical services across Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Services Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray, AB.

Job Summary:

The Field Services Technician will be responsible for conducting field sampling and testing activities in support of our environmental and analytical services. This will include collecting and processing samples, operating sampling equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field sampling and testing activities in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Collect and process samples, including handling and storing samples, and preparing samples for analysis.
  • Operate sampling equipment, including pumps, generators, and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of sampling activities, including sample collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate analysis of samples.
  • Participate in on-call schedule to support emergency sampling and testing activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. environmental science, chemistry, biology) an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
