Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at 1040023 ALBERTA LTD. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate Trucks: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess an Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Driver Logbook: Maintain a driver logbook.
  • Driving Record: Have a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Willing to train, with a focus on permanent employment.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Hours of Work: 40 to 60 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
