Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct preventative maintenance on various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including Hydrovacs and water trucks.
  2. Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and after-treatment systems.
  3. Handle hydraulic and PTO systems troubleshooting and repairs.
  4. Service clutches, transmissions, and differentials.
  5. Repair vacuum pumps and blowers.
  6. Diagnose and fix burner issues.
  7. Conduct Commercial Vehicle Inspections.
  8. Identify and resolve equipment issues, replacing or repairing defective components as necessary.
  9. Interpret and follow work orders effectively.
  10. Collaborate with apprentices and delegate tasks as needed.
  11. Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations.
Role Requirements
  1. Must be a registered Apprentice in the On-Road program.
  2. Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
  3. A Class 1 or 3 license is considered an asset.
  4. Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
  5. Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is advantageous.
  6. Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  7. Must provide personal tools for the job.
Desired Skills
  1. Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment.
  2. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on completing necessary documentation.
  3. Familiarity with Cummins and CAT engines is beneficial.
  4. Proficient in using computers for various tasks.
