Parts Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Parts Consultant to join our team at AWIN Group of Dealerships. As a key member of our Parts Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our parts sales process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with their parts needs, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Ensure that customers are aware of our entire product line and accessories, promoting sales and driving revenue growth.
  • Follow cash handling procedures to maintain accuracy and security.
  • Verify parts against delivery notes, bin them accordingly, and obtain signatures.
  • Pack and load parts correctly, maintaining accurate records and dispatch documentation.
  • Report any stock damage or losses to the Parts Manager.
  • Ensure that all old units returned to the Parts Department are clean and properly processed.
  • Maintain and update displays as required, ensuring a visually appealing and organized work environment.
  • Assist in stock checks when necessary, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure that the work area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain good relationships with all suppliers, fostering a collaborative and supportive network.
  • Attend training courses and stay up-to-date on new and improved products, enhancing your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a retail auto parts department.
  • Proficient in CDK and/or Reynolds and Reynolds software systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Professional appearance and friendly disposition.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
