Position Overview

This is a temporary internship role designed for a duration of 6 months.

The internship will be supervised by Anastasia Zavitsanos.

As a legal intern, your primary responsibility will be to assist attorneys, notaries, and compliance specialists in executing their tasks. You will engage in drafting legal documents and compliance notices, performing regulatory oversight, and participating in monitoring activities. Additionally, you will create frameworks and documentation to support various compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of matters related to:

  • Compliance and legal risk management
  • Protection of personal data
  • Prevention of fraud and financial misconduct

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents with a high degree of accuracy and expertise.
  • Execute operational tasks related to the unit's business processes, including data extraction, information research, analysis, and internal customer request follow-ups.
  • Provide advisory support to team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct analyses and research for management's priority projects.
  • Draft position statements and frameworks, and develop documentation to bolster the compliance program.
  • Generate and distribute periodic reports.
  • Carry out regulatory monitoring activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law.
  • Admission to the bar.
  • Proficiency in French is mandatory.
  • Advanced written French skills.
  • Proficient in the Office 365 suite.

Work Environment

This position is classified as non-unionized.
