About the Role:
Laprairie is seeking a skilled and motivated Labourer to join our team. As a Labourer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by performing various tasks and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive directions from the Plant Supervisor regarding day-to-day operations and tasks, which may include manual labor work, plant maintenance, or operational and maintenance work.
- Perform loading and unloading of trucks and rail cars, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain the tidiness of the site and equipment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist in fueling and filling equipment with the correct quantities of fuel and fluids, documenting the process in the inspection log.
- Participate in equipment maintenance and repair, working closely with the maintenance team.
- Perform other duties as required by Management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience working in an industrial environment is preferred, with construction experience considered an asset.
- Ability to work at heights and possess mechanical aptitude.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including days and nights.
- Must have reliable transportation.
