The Role

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team of 38 Technologists. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic electrocardiographic procedures independently to assist physicians with patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct stress testing of Nuclear Cardiology patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Provide tracings of patient ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate before and during stress tests.
  • Ensure all tests are conducted in accordance with CSCT and KMH protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide patient education and support during stress testing and other procedures.
  • Apply independent judgment and critical thinking to ensure accurate data capture during tests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure examination rooms are properly supplied and equipped.
  • Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in continuous professional development.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized course in ECG.
  • CSCT designation.
  • 1 year of work experience is an asset.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience with Holter monitor hook-ups, AMBPs, and Loops is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word and Outlook).
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • ACLS is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide coverage at both locations.
