Job Summary:The Project Director plays a critical role in consolidating and growing our business, supporting operations from inception to delivery. This involves driving efficiencies, directing business optimization, and improving overall organization performance. The Project Director is responsible for developing and overseeing major construction projects, providing guidance and support to project and construction management teams, and setting project strategy and success metrics.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement project strategies and success metrics
- Provide guidance and support to project and construction management teams
- Drive efficiencies and direct business optimization
- Oversee major construction projects from inception to delivery
- Manage project resources, including staff, workforce, equipment, subcontractors, and materials
- Identify project objectives and requirements, stakeholders, and other third-party engagements
- Develop and implement project plans, including milestone project deliverables
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to project managers
- Monitor project progress and performance, including financial oversight and construction progress
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and key partners
- Drive innovation and propose technology improvements
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil/Structural), or graduate of an applicable technical diploma program, and/or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of 15 years in an oil & gas construction project management or project supervision role or large-scale construction experience
- 5-8 years working experience in a managerial role with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Availability to periodically travel to project sites
- Understanding of the oil and gas pipeline & industrial construction industry and familiarity with relevant construction and safety codes, standards, and practices
