Job Title: Upper Grade Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Upper Grade Teacher to join our team at the Nelson Waldorf School. As a Class Teacher for upper grade, you will be responsible for delivering the grade 5/6/7/8/9 curriculum, integrating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the grade 5/6/7/8/9 Curriculum integrating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf curriculum
  • Report on students according to Faculty agreements and BC Ministry requirements
  • Abide by BC Independent School teacher conduct and competence standards
  • Lead class parent conferences
  • Reports to: Principal of School

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, full-time; $53,508.50 to $72,771.56 plus benefits (health, disability, life insurance and tuition) and increments for related experience.

Education and Skill Requirements:

BC Teacher Certification

Completed Waldorf Teacher Training with a clear understanding of Rudolf Steiner's education and philosophy will be preferred or willingness to take the Waldorf training.
