Job Title: Front Desk EARLY MORNING/MID DAY
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at Gold's Gym British Columbia. As a Front Desk Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our members and guests, and contributing to the overall success of our club.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet Members and Guests: Greet members and guests enthusiastically to encourage a positive culture at the club.
- Resolve Customer Inquiries: Promptly ensure that customer inquiries are resolved professionally and thoroughly via in-person encounters.
- Monitor Member Check-ins: Monitor member check-ins and ensure that all policies and processes are followed.
- Direct Guests and Appointments: Ensure that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate employee/department in a prompt, professional manner.
- Process Transactions: Process point of sale items, such as retail and concession sales.
- Check-in Members and Guests: Check in all members and guests using the proper registration procedures.
- Distribute Materials: Distribute membership cards, parking decals, towels, child-minding tickets, and other materials as needed.
Requirements:
- Service Driven: Service driven with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience required.
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English - Ability to speak other languages an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Cash Handling: Knowledge of cash handling/previous experience with POS terminals.
- Teamwork: Ability to work both alone and in groups.
- Critical Thinking: Critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation (important for openers and closers due to limited bus services in this area).
Work Schedule:
- Availability: Must be available 3 days (can work up to 5 days open/mids).
- Specific Shifts: Must be available to work 9:15am-1:15pm Thursday and Friday.
- Weekend Availability: Must be available to work 1 weekend day - early to closing.
