Edison Engineers Inc. is a leading provider of repair and restoration services for existing buildings, with a focus on residential structures and select commercial and government projects.

Role Overview

As an AutoCAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing design documents for a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, municipal, and other civil/architectural designs. Your tasks will include:

  • Preparing civil and architectural construction documents that meet permitting requirements
  • Collaborating with the Drafting Manager, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Administrative Staff to maintain strong team relationships
  • Exhibiting exceptional communication skills and attention to detail while handling multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil or architectural design, with the ability to be self-sufficient during periods of absence by senior staff
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (or equivalent rendering experience)
  • Mechanical drafting experience is an asset, but not required, as training will be provided
