Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and management of housekeeping services at the facility. This position involves leading a team of housekeepers in a shift-based environment, ensuring a safe and productive workplace. Your active presence will be essential in managing staff and engaging with guests, all while delivering outstanding guest service and adhering to relevant regulations and policies. This role contributes to a safe and inclusive work atmosphere for all employees, motivating the team and fostering a culture of learning and development. Compliance with all operational policies and procedures is paramount.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Oversee a team of housekeepers in a shift-based environment, promoting safety and efficiency;
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and ordering stock as necessary;
  • Responsible for staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, recognition, and professional growth;
  • Assist with scheduling and daily time management approvals;
  • Communicate effectively with relevant department heads;
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly;
  • Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards throughout the facility;
  • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • A degree from a university or college in a relevant field;
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a related area;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and leadership abilities;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management;
  • Skills to exceed guest expectations through effective communication;
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure;
  • Flexibility to adapt to the operational needs of a 24-hour business, including evening and weekend shifts;
  • The ability to obtain and maintain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the relevant regulatory body.

Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required by operational demands.
