Director of Finance (Reporting & Consolidation)

Pattison Food Group Ltd., a Jim Pattison business, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance (Reporting & Consolidation) to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead consolidated financial reporting and oversee the financial close across the organization. As a key member of our Finance team, you will provide technical accounting guidance to ensure proper accounting practices and accurate financial reporting, as well as oversee external audits and support acquisition financial modelling and due diligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial close and reporting across all Pattison Food Group entities; oversee and approve financial reporting and analysis to support executive-level financial close meetings.
  • Approve financial consolidation for 10+ entities to support internal reporting, including the preparation of quarterly divisional reporting.
  • Lead external audits by managing workflow, prioritizing projects, and coordinating resources; implement continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical research and application of accounting guidelines and prepare detailed technical accounting memos to support accounting practices and significant transactions.
  • Update accounting policies as required by new guidance and ensure that all practices align with organizational accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes.
  • Develop financial models to assess acquisition viability and implications, provide recommendations to senior management, and coordinate financial due diligence across business areas.

Requirements:

  • A CPA/CGA designation.
  • 10+ years of financial reporting & consolidation experience within a large-scale organization. Previous experience in retail, health, wholesale, distribution, and/or public sector is considered an asset.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience with acquisitions and due diligence for complex deal structures.
  • Experience with leading and managing a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced experience with MS Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.

Compensation Details:

$129,225.00 - $172,300.00. The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
