Key Responsibilities- Child Development Planning: Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their unique needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized childcare environment, and assist with cooking duties as needed.
- Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development in children.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of daycare equipment to provide a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Activity Leadership: Plan and lead activities that stimulate children's creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions.
- Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records of children's progress.
- Health and Safety: Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to licensing regulations.
- Staff Meetings: Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
- Community Partnerships: Foster collaborative relationships with community service providers and colleagues to support children's development.
- Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain a childcare environment that promotes children's health, security, and well-being.
- Certifications: Possess Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification, as well as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgment, reliability, teamwork, and a strong sense of values and ethics.
This is a permanent position with a work term of 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
