Position Summary:
As an Automotive Parts Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing parts orders for vehicle servicing and collision repairs. Collaborating closely with our service team, you will ensure exceptional customer service for our valued clientele. Your outgoing personality will be essential as you engage in consumer sales and expand our dealership's business connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering parts in a fast-paced setting
- Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers, both in-person and via phone
- Identify customer needs to locate necessary parts or services and recommend related options
- Monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies, and handle special orders as required
- Support the Parts Manager in reconciling discrepancies between digital inventory and physical stock
- Gather information for special orders and ensure accurate sourcing of parts
- Research part availability within the dealership and from external suppliers
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering outstanding service to Parts, Service, and Sales customers
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in an automotive dealership or Parts Department
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary program or training is advantageous
- Familiarity with CDK and Star Parts systems is a plus
- Strong understanding of Parts and Service operations and inventory management
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to integrity
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and resourceful
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and prolonged standing
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
