This role as a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic involves working within our well-equipped facility. Please note that travel and accommodation are not included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on highway tractors and trailers (Peterbilt, Kenworth) and specialty pumper units
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and after-treatment systems (Cummins, CAT, Mercedes)
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and PTO systems
  • Work on clutches, transmissions, and differentials
  • Carry out Commercial Vehicle Inspections
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, inspect machinery, and replace or repair defective components
  • Interpret work orders effectively
  • Manage shop operations and delegate tasks
  • Participate in daily toolbox and safety meetings, adhering to all safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification required
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Class 1 driver's license is an asset
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is beneficial
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Ability to provide personal tools.

  • Knowledge of Cummins, CAT, and Mercedes engines is advantageous.
