Role Summary:
The various positions within Finance and Accounting are essential for empowering our internal business partners to fulfill our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting and Compliance (70%):
    Lead the month-end closing procedures, coordinating and communicating with various business partners, conducting account analyses, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Oversee the completion of the monthly Trial Balance package and facilitate monthly financial closing meetings with Finance Management and Global Business Solutions teams.
  • Identify potential risks and prepare adjustments for various reserves, including product returns, obsolescence, and bad debts.
  • Take ownership of the preparation of annual local unaudited statutory Financial Statements.
  • Analyze and interpret results, preparing documentation, analyses, and presentations for business partners.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, financial research, written correspondence, and assigned projects.
  • Support corporate tax and transfer pricing initiatives.
  • Act as the SOx Processes Coordinator for Finance and Operations, monitoring the intercompany billing process to ensure thorough analysis and completeness of intercompany transactions.

Treasury, Pension, and Insurance (30%):
Manage the monthly cash flow forecast, determining cash requirements and recommending adjustments to investment strategies.

  • Oversee the administration of pension documentation and payments, serving as the point of contact for third-party actuaries and pension investment partners.
  • Participate as a member of the Eli Lilly Canada Pension committee, fulfilling administrative responsibilities.
  • Lead and facilitate the annual pension audit with an external accounting firm.
  • Serve as the primary contact for company insurance policies, processes, documentation, and payments.

Qualifications:
CPA designation with a minimum of five years of accounting experience in a global organization.

  • Experience managing month-end processes, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Background in corporate pension administration.
  • Experience with corporate audits and transfer pricing is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, macros, and Power BI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create professional memos and documents.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various management levels of local and global partners.
