Job Title: Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at School District No. 73 (Kamloops-Thompson). As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students over assigned routes, including field trips.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a School Bus to transport students safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Keep a log of extra trips taken and maintain the internal cleanliness of the bus.
  • Report any mechanical failures or accidents to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist physically and mentally handicapped students when transporting them.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 2 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Three years of proven previous driving experience.
  • Ability to successfully complete the School District's pre-trip evaluation and road test.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
