About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Taxation Senior Manager to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for leading client engagements and working closely with Partners on tax planning initiatives and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements and develop tax planning strategies for our clients.
  • Work closely with Partners as a senior team member on tax planning work for clients.
  • Plan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns and conduct and present tax research.
  • Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff.
  • Collaborate with other office members in attracting new work to the firm.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience specializing in tax in a public accounting firm.
  • Professional accounting designation or equivalent.
  • Completed, or nearly completed, the CPA In-Depth Tax Course.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth.
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the clients' business.
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties.
  • Emphasis on quality and adding value in client offerings and services.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Effectively manages conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Gives others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Able to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results.
  • Able to provide persuasive and self-assured responses to challenging questions.
What We Offer

The expected base salary range for this position is $97,500 to $151,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
