Job Title: Service Technician - Office Equipment

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Top Office Products. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining office equipment, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support.

Work Setting

You will work in a fast-paced environment, repairing and maintaining a variety of office equipment, including photocopiers, computers, and audio equipment. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and locating circuit, component, and equipment faults, and testing and adjusting repaired products for proper functioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair
  • Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies
  • Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools
  • Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults
  • Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning
  • Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies
  • Calibrate products using hand tools
  • Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Organized and reliable
  • Team player with strong values and ethics
