About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Diane Chicoine. As a Family Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring client safety.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping, errands, and other tasks, ensuring their independence and convenience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, client focus, flexibility, initiative, and patience are essential qualities for this role.
Work Environment

As a Family Caregiver Assistant, you will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, to provide personalized care and support. You will be required to work independently, using your discretion and judgment to make decisions that promote client well-being.
