Position Overview:

Are you a licensed architect with over a decade of experience and an active OAA license? Do you possess a strong background in managing intricate industrial projects within Canada and/or the United States? If so, we invite you to explore a rewarding opportunity with J.L. Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead diverse projects, including but not limited to water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, heavy industrial sites, process facilities, surface mining operations, and maintenance facilities.
  • Oversee project teams while collaborating closely with the Chief Architect and senior leadership to ensure project advancement.
  • Engage with team members as part of a cohesive project group, encompassing execution, design, and reporting.
  • Participate actively throughout all project phases, from initial definition to planning, design, and construction, utilizing your skills to identify opportunities, comprehend client requirements, and manage project delivery.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, leading business development efforts.
  • Contribute to the creation of proposals, reports, specifications, contract documents, and budget estimates.
  • Conduct reviews in accordance with the Ontario Building Code and National Building Code for industrial and mining facilities.
  • Stamp architectural working drawings and reports as required.
  • Prepare design budgets, oversee project management, and manage staff and design fees.
  • Travel between various offices as necessary to fulfill project requirements and training.
