POSITION SUMMARY:

We are in search of a skilled and meticulous Ultrasound Imaging Specialist with a minimum of one year of experience in General Ultrasound to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and customer service abilities, along with a keen eye for detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibits expertise in all facets of sonography, including but not limited to small parts, vascular, musculoskeletal, and breast imaging.
  • Records, reports, and evaluates ultrasound results to ensure accurate patient diagnoses.
  • Reviews patient medical histories and relevant clinical data.
  • Confirms that orders are complete and contain necessary information.
  • Utilizes independent judgment and critical thinking to safely conduct diagnostic sonography procedures, documenting all findings.
  • Operates the PACS system as required for reporting purposes.
  • Obtains additional images as necessary to ensure comprehensive examinations, documenting any limitations encountered.
  • Ensures that care provided is safe, appropriate, timely, and optimizes the use of available resources.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Facilitates patient flow through the clinic efficiently.
  • Commits to a patient-centered approach in all aspects of care.
  • Respects patient rights and fosters an environment that promotes patient involvement in their care.
  • Engages in quality control, assurance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Monitors patient conditions and responds promptly to any changes to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Organizes and prioritizes scheduling of procedures, effectively communicating with relevant personnel regarding procedure types and lab results.
  • Works independently and without supervision.
  • Implements safety and sanitation protocols after each examination.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current registration with CMRITO.
  • Annual continuing education as mandated by CMRITO.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an Ultrasound Technician in Canada is preferred.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Liability Insurance is mandatory.
  • Adheres to all regulations and ALARA principles.
  • Exhibits effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and patients.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.

Job Type: This position offers flexibility for full or part-time work.

Schedule: Weekdays as required.

Experience:

  • Ultrasound: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In-person.

Compensation: $35.00-$45.00 per hour.
