As a Maintenance Person at Town Place Suites & Conference Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our hotel facilities.

Responsibilities:

* Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
* Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
* Empty trash cans and other waste containers
* Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
* Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems
* Perform safety and security checks
* Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
* Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
* Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
* Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
* Co-ordinate, assign and review work

Requirements:

* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
* Basic security clearance
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Attention to detail
* Combination of sitting, standing, walking
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Flexibility and initiative
* Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
* Team player with client focus

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a hotel or similar environment
* Knowledge of MS Outlook

Work Environment:

* Hotel, motel, resort
* Public transportation available
