Job Title: Elementary Educational Assistant

Vancouver Christian School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to support our elementary students. As a member of our teaching team, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with learning differences in classroom activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, counsellors, and support personnel to serve student needs
  • Provide individual or small group support in the classroom and outside
  • Encourage student emotional, intellectual, and social development
  • Participate in school-based team meetings
  • Adapt situations, environment, materials, and activities to support student success
  • Implement strategies to help students reach IEP goals
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans as needed
Requirements:
  • EA Certification or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Excellent communication skills in English
