Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated People Programs Specialist to join our team at McDonald's. As a key member of our People Strategy and Programs team, you will play a critical role in elevating our reputation by delivering exceptional employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of core people programs, including employee engagement initiatives, uniform and apparel programs, and employee discounts and perks.
  • Develop and execute change management and communication plans to support key programs and initiatives, driving program engagement and excitement.
  • Collect and integrate feedback to ensure programs are driving the right outcomes, and make data-driven decisions to optimize program effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including HR Field, Communications, and Operations, as well as third-party vendors.
  • Participate in working teams for new and ad-hoc people projects related to attraction and engagement.
  • Manage the year-long people program calendar and budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and program delivery.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or an administrative/coordination role, with relevant project or volunteer experience considered.
  • Experience in developing, coordinating, and delivering programs and projects, with a focus on employee engagement and experience.
  • Proficiency with technology and ability to innovate through new systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team, with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Working knowledge of a large corporate environment and/or the McDonald's system is an asset.
  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business is an asset.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
