Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team at Western Forest Products. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll and benefits administration, including preparing paychecks, benefits statements, and other related documents.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
