Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Roots Modern Health Food. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our food service operations run efficiently and effectively.

Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.

Train and Develop Staff

Train and develop our food service staff in their job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and other essential skills to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent service to our customers.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate and manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our operational needs.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that our food and service meet our quality control standards, maintaining the high standards that our customers expect from us.

Maintain Records and Reports

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management to inform our operational decisions.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish and manage work schedules for our food service staff, ensuring that we have the necessary coverage to meet our operational needs.

Supervision and Work Environment
  • Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.

Work Term and Language

This is a permanent position, working 35-40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
