Job Overview

In the role of AI and Computer Vision Team Manager, you will be an integral part of the technology division, directly reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. Your primary responsibility will be to shape and execute the Vention AI product strategy. This encompasses a range of product initiatives, from generative 3D design to autonomous robotics and computer vision, with you and your team at the forefront of establishing the Vention AI framework and launching the inaugural series of AI products. Your specific duties will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the technological advancement of Vention's AI and Robotics Vision offerings, collaborating closely with various product teams (including Firmware, App R&D, MachineCode, and MachineLogic).
  • Develop proof of concepts for critical AI subsystems and outline pathways for their commercialization.
  • Enhance and sustain Vention's diverse machine learning models across the product spectrum.
  • Construct Vention's AI infrastructure (covering server, data architecture, and edge-to-cloud data) to facilitate both synthetic and field-based machine learning capabilities for various product initiatives.
  • Lead the technical evolution of our AI collaborations with software, infrastructure, and robotic arm partners.
  • Participate in the Vention Technology Committee, influencing the overarching technology strategy across the enterprise, extending beyond engineering software.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in software, AI, and robotics technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Over 8 years of experience in software development.
  • At least 5 years of experience in ML/AI projects with demonstrable commercial applications.
  • Proven experience in leading or managing a team of ML/AI developers.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and familiarity with web development frameworks such as React.
  • Experience in designing responsive systems (both embedded and cloud/web).
  • Knowledge of distributed system architecture and the associated technical challenges.
  • Strong ownership of all facets throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and beyond.
  • A solid sense of accountability, demonstrating ownership over comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.
  • Enthusiasm for new challenges and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
