About the Role

VIA Rail is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the modernization of its rolling stock fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
  • Ensure compliance with VIA Rail's project management methodology and governance framework
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering, administration, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of project management experience in rail projects or the heavy equipment industry
  • Practical knowledge of project management tools and methods, such as Microsoft SharePoint and Project Online
  • PMP certification (an asset)
  • English/French bilingualism (spoken and written) is essential
