Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Program Management Office (PMO) team at VIA Rail Canada. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key decisional role in the execution of large-scale projects, ensuring qualitative, efficient, and economic delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and initiate new capital projects, preparing business cases for prioritization and ensuring progress through rigorous follow-ups.
  2. Establish and manage project scope, budget, forecast, schedule, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  3. Define project acceptance criteria and manage quality processes.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and business units, including Operations, PMO, and Technical Services.
  5. Develop communication and change management plans.
  6. Manage project resources to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Administration with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience in operations or transportation.
  2. Experience in executing projects involving vendor interactions and coordination of internal teams.
  3. PMP certification is a strong asset.
  4. Hands-on knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

  1. Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English and French.
  2. Aptitude to manage and mobilize a team.
  3. Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  4. Disciplined and focused on quality, with a team player attitude.
  5. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage parallel activities.
