Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, including the City of Brampton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct proactive patrols of the facility, including exterior and interior areas, to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
  • Write detailed incident reports for all emergency and day-to-day activities.
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • De-escalate crisis situations and provide support to employees and visitors.
  • Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to directions from the client, City of Brampton.
Requirements
  • Minimum three (3) years of security guard or related experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of security guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service skills.
  • Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Flexibility with shift availability, including 24-hour shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience or training within a loss prevention/security field.
  • Ability to utilize two-way radio and computer applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Bilingual and multilingual applicants are preferred.
