Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team in London, Ontario. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of drivers for multiple locations. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of drivers to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to drivers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, routing, and delivery management.
  • Work closely with dispatchers and other team members to ensure timely service to customers.
  • Monitor driver performance, conduct regular evaluations, and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to driver activities, performance, and incidents.

Requirements

  • AZ or DZ license preferred, with roll-off or lugger experience being an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or solid waste industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of making effective decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and transportation management software and technology for tracking and reporting.
  • GEOTAB experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Occasional travel to the US may be required to support our Michigan/Ohio sites.
