Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

GLENWOOD PIZZA & PASTA SHOP is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the activities of our food preparation and service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to our staff on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Accurately estimate ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff, and manage their performance to ensure that our high standards are met.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that our food and service meet the highest quality standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for food and supplies, ensuring that we are operating within our means.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be working in a kitchen environment with a team of experienced staff, and will be required to stand for extended periods and work under tight deadlines.
