Position: Unregulated Care Provider (UCP) - Casual
At Sienna Senior Living, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that enhances the experience of our team members while promoting innovation and growth. The role of the Unregulated Care Provider is essential in our communities, as it significantly influences the well-being of residents and fosters meaningful human connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate maintenance of resident documentation and records in compliance with established policies and legal standards.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor residents for any changes in their health status, promptly reporting findings to the Director of Wellness.
- Communicate any incidents, health concerns, or issues regarding residents to the Director of Wellness or General Manager.
- Guide Guest Attendants to ensure that care tasks are completed effectively and that any changes in residents' conditions are communicated to the Director of Wellness.
- Uphold a clean and safe living environment for residents by applying infection control measures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Personal Service Worker certificate program.
- Successful completion of on-site Medication Administration training and ongoing quarterly competency evaluations.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Experience in senior care and understanding of the aging process.
- All candidates must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medication administration is advantageous.
