Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the part-time educator include, but are not limited to:

  1. Creating an inclusive learning environment that respects students' diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  2. Applying adult education principles to engage students effectively.
  3. Utilizing educational technologies to enhance learning and manage assessments.
  4. Developing relevant curriculum and assessment strategies.
  5. Ensuring course content remains current and applicable.
  6. Demonstrating initiative and working independently.
  7. Collaborating effectively with students and various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience related to the course content.
  2. A Master's degree in Business or a related field; additional qualifications in Education or Human Resources are advantageous.
  3. Experience in Human Resources is considered an asset.
  4. Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level, demonstrating effective application of adult education methodologies.
  5. Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  6. Proficiency in utilizing technology for educational purposes.
  7. A commitment to lifelong learning and understanding of the Ontario community college system.
