Type: Regular Full-Time
Role: Ontario Works Supervisor
Salary: $68,468 – $88,325 annually
Purpose:
Under the direction of the Ontario Works Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for offering guidance, oversight, and strategic planning for the Ontario Works program and its personnel. This role involves assisting in the formulation and execution of program objectives, policies, and financial plans in alignment with municipal and ministry standards. The incumbent will also support the Ontario Works Manager with various projects and tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all team members receive the necessary training and resources to fulfill their roles effectively.
- Promote adherence to Health and Safety regulations among all employees.
- Collaborate with the Ontario Works Manager to enhance program efficiency and service delivery.
Qualifications:
- A 3-year Diploma in social services or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles within Ontario Works, ODSP, or similar social service organizations.
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
- Proven ability to negotiate, resolve issues, and manage priorities effectively.
- High proficiency in current technologies related to the program.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and financial management capabilities.
- Familiarity with Ontario Works legislation and the Ontario Disability Support Program is advantageous.
- Experience in a unionized setting is a plus.
- A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle for off-site meetings are required.
