ONTARIO WORKS SUPERVISOR
$68,468 – $88,325 annually
MANDATE:
Reporting to the Ontario Works Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and effective coordination for the Ontario Works program and its staff. This role involves assisting in the formulation and execution of program objectives, policies, and municipal budgets. The incumbent will support the Ontario Works Manager with various tasks and projects as required. It is essential to ensure that all staff receive the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively while adhering to relevant Health and Safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A 3-year Diploma in social services or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience, including supervisory roles, preferably within Ontario Works, ODSP, or a similar social service organization.
• Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities are essential.
• High proficiency in current technology and program-related software is necessary.
• Proven leadership, supervisory, and financial management skills are crucial.
• A solid understanding of Ontario Works legislation and the Ontario Disability Support Program is advantageous.
• Experience in a unionized environment is beneficial.
• A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle for off-site meetings are required.
This position is evaluated at Level 7 ($68,468 – $88,325) annually as per the NUG Salary Grid.
