Job Summary

The Trade Marketing Manager - Brand Growth Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing shopper marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, market share, and sales growth for brands across all markets. This role will oversee the establishment of the direction on how programs will be executed across different retailers to enable best-in-class execution at store level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management:
    • Build strong relationships with clients, understand their business objectives, and collaborate on developing trade marketing plans aligned with their brand positioning and goals.
  • Trade Promotion Planning:
    • Design and execute trade promotion programs, including trade incentives, point-of-sale materials, merchandising strategies, and sales support materials to enhance brand visibility and drive sales in the spirits industry.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for brand positioning, pricing, and distribution strategies.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Sales, Consumer marketing, and Customer Marketing to ensure effective execution of trade marketing initiatives and alignment with overall brand strategies.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key trade customers, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial business opportunities and foster long-term business growth.
  • Industry Expertise:
    • Stay updated with the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in the spirits industry, actively participating in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, marketing specialization or equivalent.
    • Master's degree (asset).
    • Ten (10) years of experience in sales, trade marketing experience with at least five (5) years of team management experience.
    • Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry is a strong asset.
  • Qualifications:
