We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at the Dawson Creek Hospital Project. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including preparing layouts, building concrete forms, and completing rough and finishing carpentry tasks.
Responsibilities- Comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts for construction projects
- Understand and apply industrial concrete forming techniques, including building concrete forms and other structures
- Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, utilizing appropriate math skills and attention to detail
- Verify completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and meet specifications
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the project manager
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Fall Protection and Confined Space training is an asset
- Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of safety compliance and regulatory issues
