Key Responsibilities:

As the Youth Programs and League Coordinator, you will oversee the successful execution of Canlan Sports' youth leagues, skating lessons, and hockey training camps. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining Canlan Sports' reputation as a leader in youth sports programming.

Core Duties Include:

  • Program Management: Collaborate with centralized teams to ensure that all programs are delivered consistently and meet organizational standards.
  • Staff Oversight: Recruit, train, and manage a team of part-time instructors, ensuring they adhere to operational procedures and provide high-quality instruction.
  • Customer Engagement: Enhance the participant experience by optimizing program delivery to achieve high satisfaction ratings and foster long-term relationships.
  • Financial Stewardship: Monitor and manage program expenses in alignment with budgetary guidelines and participation trends.
Leadership and Development:
  • Team Leadership: Act as a mentor to part-time instructors, ensuring they are equipped to deliver programs effectively.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Work closely with the centralized programs team to cultivate a customer-centric culture and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote youth leagues and programs, driving participation and engagement.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in Business, Recreation, or Facility Management, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • First Aid/AED certification is advantageous.
  • Willingness to undergo a vulnerable sector police check.
Skills and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a sports-related environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong background in programming and managing community sports initiatives.
  • Knowledgeable in various sports, particularly hockey and figure skating.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

This role is integral to the success of Canlan Sports' youth programming and requires a dedicated individual with a passion for sports and community engagement.
