About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at 2436218 ALBERTA INC. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging as needed.
  • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting and wall covering.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and team player skills.
Work Environment

This role will involve working outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and with odours. You will be required to work at various locations and may be required to relocate.

Work Setting

This is a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
