Position Overview:

The Vice President of Operations is a pivotal leadership role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the Operations function across multiple facilities, including key manufacturing sites. This position will manage the entire production process and will have several senior managers reporting directly, including those in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, Facilities Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Environmental Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate the manufacturing strategy and establish protocols to uphold high standards of operational excellence, ensuring product quality aligns with customer and corporate expectations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set and achieve organizational objectives while providing expert guidance on operational initiatives and systems.
  • Optimize workforce levels and manage indirect and material costs to align with the annual financial plan.
  • Develop and propose manufacturing policies and programs that enhance the organization’s competitive edge and profitability.
  • Oversee departmental management to achieve manufacturing goals, integrating operational strategies into production practices in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between departmental management and executive leadership, ensuring all personnel are informed about decisions, policies, and performance-related matters.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and assess staff performance, taking timely corrective actions as necessary in line with company policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and minimize waste, while monitoring relevant data.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain quality control systems to guarantee products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Direct the development and implementation of production standards.
  • Coordinate essential programs related to manufacturing processes, including training, safety, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead significant projects such as facility layout modifications, equipment installations, and major repairs.
  • Engage in strategic planning and policy formulation with senior management to define long-term objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe workplace.
  • Collaborate across departments, including Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Support, and Sales, to maintain a customer-centric approach and drive business success.
  • Promote the adoption of innovative technologies and automation to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Report performance metrics to the senior executive team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of senior management experience with a focus on operational, financial, and strategic responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing operational teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering operational excellence and expertise in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience in organizational growth, strategic development, and driving scalable process enhancements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • History of achieving developmental objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of business operations and cross-functional leadership.
  • Experience in developing performance metrics and team assessments.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with leaders across the organization.
  • Exceptional strategic, organizational, analytical, and reasoning skills with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics.
