Position: Quality Assurance Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time Permanent

Location: Peterborough, ON

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  1. Possess a Degree or Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  2. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in extensive quality management systems, ideally AS9100.
  3. Identify inspection standards for procured items.
  4. Conduct evaluations, approvals, and audits of suppliers as necessary.
  5. Create and maintain an approved supplier directory along with a supplier quality requirements manual.
  6. Regularly monitor supplier quality performance on a monthly basis.
  7. Review and authorize purchase orders and part history documentation.
  8. Assist or lead investigations into failures related to product returns or internal issues (8D, engineering investigation) and contribute to related reports.
  9. Manage non-conformance dispositions and participate in the decision-making process for Material Review Board (MRB) actions.
