Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency team at Vancouver General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency nursing care to clients of all ages, prioritizing their needs and responding to complex situations.
- Assess client needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Stabilize and resuscitate trauma patients, and participate in disaster response efforts.
- Enhance patient quality of life through expert care and education.
- Consult with healthcare professionals, and contribute to hospital committees and research projects.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing or two years' recent experience in a related field.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient-centered model of care.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks.
