The Department of Health and Social Services plays a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of people across the Northwest Territories through strategic planning, development, evaluation, and reporting on program and service delivery.

The department is committed to delivering quality services that make the best use of public resources, ensure the sustainability of the system, prioritize client safety, and promote positive health and social outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Information Management Analyst will work collaboratively with informatics professionals, care delivery professionals, and management and staff at all levels to ensure that required data is collected appropriately.

This includes ensuring data requirements for all service delivery transactions across Health and Social Services are captured across all information systems and manual processes, meet clinics', hospitals', care sites', and communities' requirements, and are nationally reported where appropriate.

The Senior Information Management Analyst will exercise independence to achieve these results within established timelines and represent the interests of HSS during Federal/Provincial/Territorial meetings to establish National data collection and reporting standards.

Compliance with federal data capturing and reporting requirements is essential for continued program funding.

Requirements

A relevant post-secondary degree in Information Management, Health Informatics, or Health Information Science, and three years of experience in the information management field are typically required for this position.
